Meghan Markle showed the sign of respect to her father-in-law, Prince Charles. During her final royal engagement with Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex curtsied to the Prince of Wales.

According to Daily Mirror, Meghan beamed as she saw Prince Charles arriving inside Westminster Abbey. She curtsied to him, after curtsying Queen Elizabeth. The Prince of Wales responded by smiling to the Duchess of Sussex. He also gave Meghan a quick nod.

The moment did not go unnoticed to royal fans who were carefully watching how the royal family acted towards each other in their reunion with Prince Harry and Meghan. The Commonwealth Day event was aired live on television.

Previous reports stated that Meghan and Prince Charles have a particularly close bond. The Prince of Wales apparently fondly calls his daughter-in-law as Tungsten because of her tough and unbending personality.

Prince Charles, who walked Meghan down the aisle when she married Prince Harry in 2018, reportedly admires the duchess' resilience. She complements his son Prince Harry's personality well as the Duke of Sussex can be an emotional softie.

In January, People reported that Prince Charles will be helping Prince Harry and Meghan start their new lives as non-senior members of the royal family. Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will no longer be receiving public funds, Prince Charles will continue to support their lifestyle until they become financially independent.

Prince Charles earns massive income from the Duchy of Cornwall. He also uses this private fund to support the lifestyle and needs of Prince William and Kate Middleton, as well as their kids.

When Prince Charles becomes King, Prince William will inherit his Cornwall estate. Prince Harry, on the other hand, will have to find other means to support his family if he won't become a working royal.

Meanwhile, the Commonwealth Day reunion is the last royal engagement for Prince Harry and Meghan. They will officially cease working for the Queen on March 31. The Sussex pair plans to find projects in North America and speculations that Prince Harry will be taking speaking engagements with a million-dollar appearance fee. Meghan, on the other hand, is speculated to tap help from her Hollywood connections.

As non-working royals, Prince Harry and Meghan opt not to use their titles. The Duke of Sussex even said to an audience during a royal event in February that people may simply refer to him as Harry. Despite this, he remains the sixth in line to the British throne.
