Prince Charles has been dubbed as the "pampered prince" for his alleged demanding ways. As the son of the long-reigning monarch, it is no surprise that everything that the Prince of Wales needs is provided. But, former royal butler Paul Burrell revealed that if his demands are not met, the future king will scold all his staff.

Allegedly, Camilla Parker-Bowles' husband believes in "collective responsibility" in the daily tasks the servants have to do every day. According to Express, Burrell revealed that Princes William and Harry's father is used to follow a certain level of perfection as he was raised with that privilege.

If one of his staff failed to meet his high standards, Burrell said that Prince Charles would end up scolding all of them. "The Prince of Wales has grown up in such a privileged lifestyle that he doesn't have the mechanics to choose from himself anymore," Princess Diana's former butler said.

Everything is reportedly done for Prince Charles, from the pressing of his pajamas every morning so it won't have creases when he uses it to flatting his shoelaces with an iron. His underwear is even folded in a certain way that he likes, while his bath towel should be placed in a precise fashion.

Prince Charles also follows a specific way when he baths. His bathplug should be in a particular position, and the water has to be lukewarm and only half full. His toothbrush has to have an inch of toothpaste on it every morning. If these things are not met, or something is not followed, everyone will be scolded.

Aside from these things, Prince Charles also doesn't grab fallen items himself. He will call his staff even if they are in another room just to get it for him. In the Amazon Prime documentary Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm, Burrell also recalled the time he got a call from the heir to the throne just to pick up a letter that was fallen into the wastepaper bin. Hence, his staff calls him the "pampered prince."

In Tom Bowers' 2018 book, Rebel Prince, The Power, Passion, and Defiance of Prince Charles¸ he also revealed, via InStyle, that Prince Charles doesn't only change his outfits five times a day, but his food also has to be sent ahead of his arrival at dinner parties. He also uses his own toilet seats and only sleeps on special royal sheets that have to be pressed and wrinkle-free.
