Amidst the coronavirus scare, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles are determined to continue their royal engagements abroad. The Duchess of Cornwall seems to just make fun of the epidemic, which shows her lighter side and proves she doesn't hold back to say what she wants to. With the quip she made about Covid-19, a royal expert claimed she is one of the royal family members that are fun to be with.
The future queen consort is said to have a fun personality, as she receives praises for making a jest about the coronavirus outbreak. When she visited the London Transport Museum and saw an air raid shelter that could only fit one person, she went inside, looked over to a reporter, and said she was "self-isolating."
Camilla is not afraid to show her humorous side, which delighted fans and reporters alike who were there at the event at the time. So, in an episode of Omid Scobie's HeirPod, the ABC News royal contributor talked about this particular engagement and praised Prince Charles' wife for her sense of humor.
"We also got to see a bit of a lighter side to Camilla this week," he said, via Express. "When she visited a London, she joked that she was self-isolating from the coronavirus."
Scobie continued to say that everyone thought what Camilla said was quite funny. It was not the first time that she showed her humorous side on a royal engagement.
So from the looks of it, Camilla is the one who will not hold back herself to make a quip here and there. If there is one thing that makes her quite enjoyable to be with on royal engagements, it is her excellent sense of humor.
This seems to show that Camilla and Prince Charles are not alarmed by the coronavirus outbreak. In fact, they are determined to continue their royal schedule to visit Bosnia, Cyprus, and Jordan for 10 days, despite the fact that these countries have reported cases of Covid-19.
However, a Clarence House spokesman said the royal couple would continue to monitor the situation and consult with the Government about the matter. The spokesman even assured that they are following the Government's advice.
Downing Street officials are now creating plans on how best to protect the royal family amidst the coronavirus outbreak. Queen Elizabeth II herself will reportedly continue her garden parties in May, the time when the virus is expected to peak. So, the U.K. Chief Medical officer, Professor Charles Whitty, suggested that people with mild fevers could be asked to self-isolate themselves within the next two weeks to contain the virus.
