Meghan Markle now begins her private life in Canada as she returns to the country to be with her 10-month-old son, Archie Windsor. After the Duchess of Cambridge completed her final royal engagement at the Commonwealth Day Service, the former actress reportedly bid her goodbye to all her royal staff and it was an emotional one.
According to The Telegraph, Prince Harry's wife "shed a tear" when she said goodbye to her people in the U.K. With her desire to have a private life in Canada, saying farewell to her loyal aides, who served her and her husband for years, was described to be "bittersweet."
Meghan Markle attended a morning meeting with her patronages and a family event in the afternoon before she returned to Canada. Her last public appearance with the royal family at the Commonwealth was said to be the "grand finale of their farewell tour" before they officially migrate to the Great White North and become financially independent.
Royal expert Chris Ship predicted, via Express, the former Suits star could do a "tell all" about the royal family in a book or a big interview. However, he advised that the Sussexes shouldn't disappear from the limelight for so long.
In a story for ITV News, he said if the Sussexes wanted to achieve everything they wanted to attain, they should capitalize on their current high profile. Their current stardom couldn't be any higher. She is considered an American woman who managed to join the royal family and then decided to leave, which created huge public interest.
Daily Mail added that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could also make millions from public speaking, lucrative contracts, book deals, or Meghan returning to acting. They currently have a network of high-profile friends who could help them, from Michelle Obama to Oprah Winfreyle and Ellen DeGeneres.
Prince Harry, on the other hand, remains in the U.K. to fix his future engagements. However, he is expected to return soon to Canada to reunite with his family.
The two are reportedly living with their son at a lavish, £14-million waterside mansion. The couple will also keep their Windsor home and start paying commercial rent. They, too, will be giving back the taxpayers' money worth £2.4 million that was spent on their house's renovation.
There are also reports that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are looking for rental properties in California to be near her mother, Doria Ragland. This place is also close to Silicon Valley and Hollywood, where they may begin their new lives, work and earn independently.
