G-Dragon's collaboration with Nike's Air Force One Paranoise was such a huge success that it sold out all over the world in the space of 30 minutes. Now, resellers are capitalizing on the phenomenon by putting a huge price tag on the shoes that now cost more than a brand new car.

The shocking development was revealed when online reseller XXBLUE posted G-Dragon's Air Force One Low Peaceminusone Paranoise sneakers for a staggering price of 25 million won. This translates to USD$21,000, Koreaboo reported.

The price came as a shock to many buyers who noted that the version that was being sold had a yellow and white Nike logo, which hinted that it was a super rare edition that was only given out to G-dragon's close friends.

This also means that the version posted online was not even sold out to the market when the Paranoise series originally came out, making it a rare item.

At the time of the release, the sneakers were sold at a more reasonably priced 219,000 won or USD$180. However, as soon as the items sold out, resellers took the opportunity to bump up the price to 2-5 million won (USD$1700-$4200). A signed version even fetched 13 million won or USD$11,000.

However, the posting of XXBLUE was the highest ever priced Paranoise resale item to date. The site also made available two other versions of G-Dragon's sneakers. One features a white logo while the other features a red Nike logo.

The Paranoise X Peaceminusone project was one of the first collaborations that G-Dragon entered into after being discharged from the military last October. Lucky Sandara Park received three pairs of customized shoes from GD including the limited edition yellow swoosh. Taeyang also received one of the limited edition pairs from G-Dragon. There are only 88 pairs of Yellow Swoosh were made for G-Dragon's friends and family. 818 pairs of Red Swoosh were sold globally while only a limited number of white swoosh worldwide, PEP reported.

It can be recalled that the Paranoise quickly became a must-have item for fashion fans because it featured GD's personal artwork emblazoned underneath the special black coating of the sneaker.

According to Hypebeast, the hidden artwork is inspired by G-Dragon's sense of optimism towards art as a form of self-expression for youth around the world to be unified through collective creativity.
