Prince William has another achievement and role to be proud of. Kensington Palace announced that has accepted the patron of a charity that's very close to his heart: the London Air Ambulance.

From 2015 to 2017, Prince William worked as an air ambulance pilot for East Anglie, who provided assistance during emergencies, searches, and rescues. In accepting this new role, Chief executive Jonathan Jenkins said the Duke of Cambridge truly knows what it means when every second counts.

London's Air Ambulance Charity supports the city's premier air ambulance service, which is a very important part of the medical chain, per the Evening Standard. Jenkins added that Prince William's patronage will help provide what is needed by the ambulance crew, as well as the public that relies on their service.

Last year, the Duke of Cambridge attended the 30th anniversary of the London Air Ambulance, where he actually flew a helicopter and met with the public. In his speech at the gala, Prince William said that London has the "most difficult airspace in the world" but it is vital in speeding up the process of providing medical care to those who need it.

Kensington Palace said in a statement that the Duke of Cambridge will "continue to champion those working on the frontline." As patron of the charity, Prince William will highlight and raise awareness about the service's very important work for the community.

Meanwhile, on top of his increasing duties for the Crown, Prince William is also an involved father of three kids. According to Daily Express, the Duke of Cambridge is taking points from his mother, Princess Diana's parenting style in raising Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

According to royal expert Angela Mollard, the Duke of Cambridge is submerging his kids in very normal activities, like visits to McDonalds and theme parks. During their half-term break, Prince William brought his kids to their country home in Anmer Hall so that they can enjoy the outdoors and do some farming.

However, the royal dad, who is the second in line to the throne, also preparing them for a life of royal work. He talks to his children about the homeless and his visits to the sick and needy.

Mollard said that like Princess Diana, Prince William is making his children aware of their privilege as royals. However, he's also trying to give George, Charlotte and Louis the most normal childhood.
