Prince Charles officially became the Prince of Wales in 1969. This is the title that is traditionally passed on to the Heir Apparent, who will one day take over the British Crown.

While he has been holding on to the title for more than half a century now, he has yet to become the King of the United Kingdom. Even so, recent reports claimed that there have been several signs that he is now being prepared to take over from his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

It is no longer a new thing that the Queen has been disseminating some of her duties and responsibilities to a few members of the British Royal Family. However, it was quite surprising to know that Prince Charles recently had an official meeting with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson.

According to Town & Country, royal sources shared that the Prince of Wales recently "received" the Prime Minister due to an undisclosed reason. It was said that the meeting was official, despite having it on an evening hour on March 3, since it was recorded on the Royal Family's journal, the Court Circular.

Although the record can prove that the meeting between Prince Charles and Boris Johnson took place, the publication shared that there were no details included. As explained, the journal only records the basic information of the royals' engagements.

It was reported, as well, that several royal watchers and commentators took their thoughts about the meeting on social media. Many of them reportedly deemed the engagement as rare and "unusual."

The reason being is that Prince Charles and Boris Johnson rarely have official meetings without the Queen. Also, the report said that the two personalities only meet casually, especially when they are at Balmoral for a visit with the Monarch. But, "outside of that," the Prime Minister and the Prince of Wales do not.

The recent headlines further strengthened the previous rumors about the senior royals' preparation for the future of the British Monarchy. As reported by Express UK, Prince William recently had a meeting with the Secretary of the Duchy of Cornwall, Alastair Martin.

The meeting was also reported to be included in the Court Circular. But, just like Prince Charles' recent engagement with the PM, the discussions between the Duke of Cambridge and the Duchy's Secretary remained undisclosed.

In the end, however, these recent movements made by the senior members of the Royal Family seemingly confirms the general public's reception that they are all now preparing for the future.
