Kate Middleton has always looked stunning and gorgeous every time she steps out before the public. She has been repeatedly praised and commended for her looks, as well as her iconic styles.
But, in one of her engagements, it was said that there was a time when the Duchess of Cambridge was seen "weeping" after a public engagement. She was revealed to be pregnant, which likely added to the emotions she felt at the time.
According to Hello! magazine, Kate Middleton was "overcome" with emotions and tears during the engagement she had with the East Anglia Children's Hospices (EACH). As reported, the official event happened in the latter months of 2014, during which she was also four months pregnant to Princess Charlotte.
It was said that the Duchess spoke to different individuals present at the event, including the staff and volunteers, as well as the families supported by the charity. Her attendance at the event was an official one considering that she is the Patron of EACH, a title she obtained months after marrying Prince William.
As revealed, the royal was "touched" by the story of Leigh Smith. It was said that she lost her daughter of three months due to a "rare" heart condition.
Upon hearing Leigh's background, Kate Middleton reportedly cannot hold back her tears. It was also shared that Leigh Smith previously sent the Duchess a letter, which the royal personally responded to after.
The publication further noted that the Duchess of Cambridge went on to described the 33-year-old Leigh a "brave lady" during their personal meeting in Norfolk. Leigh Smith also reportedly revealed that the Duchess hugged her while getting all teary-eyed amid the event.
In a similar report released by Express UK, it was revealed that aside from the EACH event in 2014, Kate Middleton also reportedly went in tears before Meghan Markle's wedding to Prince Harry in 2018. This apparently became a huge story among publications since this became one of the striking allegations that there has been an ongoing feud between the two Duchesses.
While no confirmations have been made regarding the real reason behind Kate's tears, several reports attested that royal aides of the Cambridge household did not deny these claims. Even so, it was noted by some sources that she just gave birth to Prince Louis at the time.
Others even shared that it was all "stressful" for Kate Middleton, which then resulted in her tears as she was really "emotional."
