In SEAL Team season 3 episode 16, the Bravo Team is preparing for a three-month deployment in Afghanistan. This is a long mission for them and there might be some heated arguments and difficult moments at home.
However, they also recognize this is part of their job. The team is also aware that they had to do whatever is asked, even though it creates tensions at home. The Bravo Team had to deal with it, so we'll see them in next week's episode heading overseas for a dangerous mission.

In another report, just like other CBS series, SEAL Team seemed to be done filming due to COVID-19 concerns. There are still a lot of episodes to air, but it looks like filming is now done. In a Twitter post, series star David Boreanaz confirmed they're working on the final episode at the time filming was shut down.
A lot of shows already halted production due to COVID-19 concerns, so it only makes sense SEAL Team does the same. After all, the safety of the cast and crew members remain to be the top priority. As for how many episodes there will be in the third season, CarterMatt noted the series has a total of 20 episodes.
If ever there'll be unfinished episodes, these may probably air as part of the season 4 premiere. Although nothing is confirmed about the potential new season, many were certain the series is coming back for another season, especially since it continues generating solid ratings.
