BLACKPINK's Jennie is known to her fans as a fashion queen so it does not come as a surprise that she is the first Kpop girl group member to grace the covers of all of six of Korea's top fashion magazines.
With her new cover for Marie Claire, BLACKPINK's Jennie completes the covers of top magazines like Elle, Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar, W and Vogue Korea.Apart from the six magazines, BLACKPINK Jennie also became the cover girl of Class, Dazed, Nylon Japan, Billboard, and High Cut, All Kpop reported.
While BLACKPINK members are ruling the covers of fashion magazines in Korea, their supposed comeback for March has once again been pushed back owing to the threat of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) worldwide which has placed countries on lockdown mode.
While YG Entertainment did not confirm an actual comeback date for BLACKPINK's new music, it once said that it is eyeing the first quarter of the year for the comeback. As early as last year, fans have been anticipating new music from BLACKPINK, who only released one comeback last year.
BLINKs, BLACKPINK's official fandom even went so far as to air their demands to YG Entertainment as they expressed dissatisfaction over the way the label is handling the career of Lisa, Jennie, Jisoo, and Rose.
In their demands, fans demanded that YG stage at least two comebacks for BLACKPINK in a year and said that it was a reasonable request given that other girl groups have two to three comebacks. BLACKPINK's last mini-album carried the global megahit Kill This Love which was released last April.
BLINKs also demanded that YG Entertainment fulfill its promise of releasing solo debuts of BLACKPINK's Lisa, Jisoo and Rose. It can be recalled that after the release of Jennie's solo debut last year, former CEO Yang Hyun Suk promised the solo albums of the rest of the members will be the next priority.
Rose hinted last year that she was already hard at work on her solo music but she has yet to announce the release.Meanwhile, it seems like fans are not the only ones who are getting tired of waiting for the comeback to be released because even BLACKPINK's Jennie hinted in a recent interview that is more than ready to greet the fans this year.
When asked what she planned to do in 2020, she said simply: "Comeback with an album. That's it." With some countries like Korea making headway on the battle against the COVID-19, Jennie may get her wish soon, Koreaboo reported.
