Prince Charles is going to keep working amid the coronavirus outbreak. The Prince of Wales, however, will be safely tucked in his home even as he continues with his work.

According to Daily Express, Prince Charles is still going to be an active member of the royal family without putting himself at risk. In fact, he is operating on a "business as usual" mode in Clarence House as he sets up a work-at-home operation.

Sources said that the Prince of Wales beefed up his digital office so that he can still conduct virtual meetings and work on his projects with his staff. For the next few weeks, Prince Charles will be scaling back on his royal engagements as the government said those over 70 must be limiting their face-to-face interactions. Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, are in their 70s.

The royal couple decided to forgo their trip to Bosnia, Cyprus, Jordan and Herzegovina, which were supposed to take place from March 17 to 25. A statement from Clarence House said that Prince Charles and Camilla were asked by the government to postpone their travels.

However, Prince Charles still attended a series of activities in Buckingham Palace as the Queen left for Windsor to join Prince Philip on Thursday. It's unclear if the heir to the throne will be stepping up for the Queen for some of the activities in the palace. Buckingham, however, has essentially reduced its public activities and royal engagements in light of this public health crisis.

The heir to the throne has been practicing social distancing since early March when the outbreak started to worsen in Europe. Prince Charles greeted people in public with the Namaste gesture and he was careful not to shake hands with the officials, dignitaries, and guests he met.

However, concerns have been raised after it was revealed that Prince Albert of Monaco, Prince Philip's friend, tested positive for COVID-19. According to The Sun, Prince Albert, who is 62, caught the virus from someone he was speaking with.

Nine days earlier, Prince Albert was sitting across Prince Charles during an event in London thus alarming some royalists. The Monaco royal said that he might have contracted the virus 10 days or so before the symptoms showed.

According to the monarch, he was taking precautions and used hand sanitizers to prevent the infection. The Sunreported that Prince Albert recently recovered from pneumonia as well. He is currently under monitor by his personal doctors.
