The royal family is now celebrating Mother's Day in the U.K., and despite the coronavirus outbreak, they sent positive vibes to the public through their social media accounts. For once, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a series of snaps to celebrate the special day, showing not just their kids but their mothers, too.

The Cambridges shared a total of four photos, featuring Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Princess Diana, Carole Middleton, and an artwork that their eldest son made for her mom. "To mothers new and old and families spending today together and apart - we are thinking of you all at this difficult time. Happy Mother's Day," they captioned the snaps.

In the first photo, Prince William and Kate Middleton could be seen giving Prince George and Princess Charlotte piggybacks. The royal parents were seemed to be running while their kids were at their backs.

In the second snap, they also shared an old photograph of Princess Diana with the young Prince William and Prince Harry. The Duke of Cambridge was hugging his mom from the back, while his younger brother was sitting by her side.

For the third picture, they posted a photo of Kate Middleton's baby picture while being held by her mother, Carole Middleton. Lastly, they also showed a DIY Mother's Day card that Prince George made for the Duchess of Cambridge.

It features a cutout of a yellow flower vase, designed with a heart in the middle. There were painted green leaves and three flowers that seemed to be made with tissue paper.

In addition, the Royal Family Instagram page also shared an old photograph of Queen Elizabeth II with her Queen Mother. They were holding on to their hats as the wind seemed to be blowing while they were walking on their way to a wedding at Westminster Abbey in 1951.

"Mothering Sunday is a chance to thank and celebrate all mothers and caregivers, wherever they may be," it noted on the caption. Although Mother's Day falls on a "different and difficult day" due to coronavirus outbreak, the message said the Queen was thinking of all the moms in the world, wishing them an extraordinary day.

Clarence House also celebrated Mother's Day by posting a black-and-white photo of Queen Elizabeth and a young Prince Charles. The photo showed the Prince of Wales playing in the Clarence House garden with his mother, who was only a princess at the time, in 1950. It also wished every mom to have a special day, although a lot of families couldn't be together at this time of crisis.
