President Donald Trump didn't post any greeting for his son, Barron Trump, on his 14th birthday. The president's youngest child celebrated another year while on quarantine in the White House last March 20.
Barron's mom, Melania Trump, did not forget to wish him a "Happy Birthday," though. The First Lady 's message was discreet as she only mentioned her son by his initials and she posted a photo of the number 14 along with several heart emojis.
The teenage boy's half-siblings also sent birthday greetings online. Tiffany Trump and Donald Trump Jr. remembered their little brother publicly for his special day.
President Trump, however, had no social media greetings for his son. Critics of the Trumps said that the POTUS ignored his son's special day as much as he is ignoring the rest of the United States amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Supporters of the president, however, said that he has his hands tied while sorting out this public health crisis. This was also not the first time Trump has forgotten to wish important family events on social media.
In January, President Trump didn't greet his wife for their 15th wedding anniversary. Some of his critics said that they are not surprised by his forgetfulness, with some alluding that the POTUS suffers from dementia or something similar.
Meanwhile, President Trump said in a press conference that he had conversations with Barron about the coronavirus. The POTUS relayed that his teenager asked him about how bad the situation is and he told him that it's a grim situation but they are fighting for the best-case scenario.
It is believed that the 14-year-old commemorated his birthday while in quarantine in the White House. Thus, he didn't have any party or socialization with friends. It's also unclear if his father was able to spend time with him given the public health crisis.
Barron was only 10 years old when his father announced his presidency. During the election campaign and until today, Melania has kept the press away from her son and is very protective of Barron since he is a minor.
Over the last three years, Barron physically grew into a towering boy. Now at 6-foot-3-inch tall, the teenager is even taller than his father.
Barron's personal style has also changed as he is growing up. From his preppy outfits as a child, Barron is now keener about wearing black and bomber jackets.
The presidential son rarely makes any public appearances as well. Although in recent months, his father nonchalantly mentions him during press conferences.
