Barron Trump, the 13-year-old son of President Donald Trump and his wife Melania, used to ask his mother about the news. At the height of the presidential campaign in 2016, the young man was apparently interested in knowing the poll results and what was going on with this father whom he missed due to his work.

Melania shared, in an interview with ABC that her son, who was then going on 10, would regularly ask about what's happening in politics. Knowing that Trump makes controversial statements in the press, Melania was also asked how Barron handled these.

The First Lady said that she tries, as much as possible, to keep Barron balanced. Despite their lives in the White House, she still wants to give him a normal childhood where he's enjoying school and sports.

Melania said that she makes it a point to put Barron out of the spotlight because he is at a delicate age where he needs guidance from his parents most. This year, Barron will likely hear more about his father in the news as he pursues his plans for a re-election and will be seeing a little less of the president at home.

Meanwhile, social media netizens think Barron looked kind of sad as the Trumps returned to the White House after their holiday break in Florida. According to Daily Express, a number of Twitter users sympathized with the president's youngest child because it looked like he hates his life.

The First Family's return to the capital comes amid fears that Trump may have just unleashed World War III after he ordered U.S. forces to launch a rocket that killed Iran's Qassem Soleimani. The Defense Department said that the decision was justified as Soleimani was the mastermind behind many attacks on U.S. targets.

According to PJ Media, since Soleimani's death, Iranians have been flooding the social media profiles of Melania and the president's daughter Ivanka Trump. Commenters apparently left messages to the First Lady and the First Daughter to prepare their coffins as Iraq will retaliate against Americans all over the world, including in the homeland.

Even President Trump's social media was filled with violent comments with some posting the Iranian flag. The comments remain active and have not been deleted by the platform.

Prior to New Year's Day, Melania, wished for peace in the world. Her comment, however, received backlash on Twitter as it sounded like she was a contestant in a beauty contest.
