iOS 14 is one of the most eagerly awaited Apple operating systems, with most getting fed up with the never-ending bugs that iOS 13 has brought. Although this is not surprising, the current mobile operating system has left most frustrated and now most are hoping that this will be at least lessened once the iOS 14 is good to go.

The new Apple mobile operating system is expected to take the spotlight at the WWDC 2020 that is scheduled to happen this summer. Despite most stuck at home due to the coronavirus pandemic, the event will push through but limited to online viewing. And while the focus is on iOS 14, it is possible that Apple could use the opportunity to provide updates on their upcoming products.

Aside from bugs and fixes, the new features that iOS 14 will carry are something to look forward to. One feature singled out by 9 to 5 Mac is the brand new location feature which will make the most out of the GPS of devices. This will also be a welcome feature to parents who want to keep track of their children at all times.

This feature will be the Find My application that will assist folks in locating missing objects or people via GPS. Elders are sure to put this to good use and hopefully, it does not include bugs - not necessarily through the app but via the functioning components tied to it.

Of course, there is more to look forward to on iOS 14. Another feature is the support for Augmented Reality (AR) which will back up the Find My application better. With the said feature, users will be given a more precise location of devices through the AR view. This can be done either on a device's display or via an AR headset, Apple Insider reported.

These two features are the latest ones expected to come on iOS 14. Other notable apps rumored to be coming with the next Apple OS include the Fitness App, enhanced message handling, Sleep Tracking, CarPlay, and CarKey. It will also include some updates for the Apple Pencil, allowing users to handwrite text in any text input field. Per Mac Rumors, other notable features include custom voice synthesizers, third-part wallpaper apps, and other accessibility updates.

A preview of iOS 14 will take place at the 2020 Worldwide Developers Conference possibly taking place in June. Once unveiled, the upcoming operating system will be released to developers for testing. A public release is likely to be made no earlier than the fall.
