On April 1, Werner Eichhorn will fill the post of successor Gaby-Luise Wust in taking over Audi's China business operations. He was the former executive to handle marketing, sales, and aftersales of Volkswagen in America.

According to Member of the Board of Management for Finance, China and Legal Affairs at AUDI AG, Dr. Arno Antlitz said that Wener Eichhorn is an accomplished sales expert with extensive experience in the country. It was also perceived that Eichhorn would continue the success of the brand in China for the next decade.

Wust focused on responsibility for China by imposing relevant processes and structures in the country. He also made Ingolstadt more efficient in the country. He also manifested qualitative growth by implementing a rapid model initiative in China along with Audi's Chinese partner FAW-VW.

The brand will launch the Audi Q2 L e-Tron, the first locally produced electric vehicle of Audi. She also helped in establishing important milestones of the company such as electrification of the Chinese model range.

Antlitz emphasized that the company is grateful for Wust's commitment to the brand. He also noted that she has driven Audi to follow an important business course for its future in the country.

Eichhorn, on the other hand, has been working with Volkswagen Group since 1982 and has filled management positions in sales at Audi since 1993. His extensive work experience comprised of being the Managing Director at the Audi division FAW-VW from 2005-2008 and has achieved significant milestones for Audi in China. He was also reported to have had ample track record of tackling Audi's largest market worldwide.

In other news, Audi was reported to have produced a coloring book to help its children and adult fans to cope with boredom during lockdowns. The coloring book consists of 13 pages that can be downloaded and printed for free. The featured images included several of the brand's competition and production models from the 20th century up to the present-day automotive market. The models featured in the coloring book are Audi R8, Audi q&, Audi Ur-Quattro, and the Auto Union Type C.

The company created the initiative to provide the said coloring books originating from its Audi North America branch to provide means of those who are forced to stay home.

On the downside, Audi has announced the recall of its Audi A6 model year 2019-2020 units particularly those equipped with mild-hybrid technology and the two-liter TFSI engines. The company claimed that moisture might enter the starter generator that could cause an electrical short-circuit thereby increasing the risk of fire.
