Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly setting their sights on an Oxfordshire countryside estate where they could build their farmhouse retreat. If plans push through, the new home could cost around $3.7 million (£3 million) and it's apparently near David and Victoria Beckham's farmhouse hideaway.

According to The Sun, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to have a house in the Soho Farmhouse. This site is an exclusive 100-acre estate for members only, where Prince Harry and Meghan plan to have a three-bedroom house across the Beckhams.

The report went on to cite that Prince Harry and Meghan plan to use their own money to build the house, which will become their permanent residence in London. This means that the Sussexes may consider giving up Frogmore Cottage in Windsor as their U.K. home. However, they agreed to pay back the millions of taxpayers' dollars spent for its renovation in 2019 in their arrangement with Queen Elizabeth last January.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan have recently relocated to Los Angeles from Vancouver. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were able to travel just in time for President Donald Trump to close the borders up north due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It is believed that the Sussexes have no more plans to return to their Vancouver rented home as they start their new chapter after March 31. Their move to Los Angeles signals their shift from working royals to non-working royals who will be earning their private income.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their son Archie, are based in a secluded compound in Los Angeles and have been themselves indoors amid the state-ordered quarantines. They are reportedly video chatting with family, friends and staff as they begin their new life away from the royals.

Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly hired Catherine St-Laurent as their chief of staff and the executive director of their new venture. She worked for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for nine years before accepting the job with the Sussexes.

The royal pair are not planning to build a new traditional foundation. Instead, Prince Harry and Meghan will be starting a new charitable venture that will be more effective at bringing changes to the society.

More details about this new endeavor will come to light by April as Prince Harry and Meghan officially star their life as private citizens. St-Laurent told friends that she will start her work with the Sussexes by the first week of April.
