It’s common for friends to argue about a lot of things. In fact, best friends argue about the simplest things. But as for soulmates like Jimin and V, they argue about dumplings.
The BTS boys have a duet for BTS's new album Map of the Soul: 7 called "Friends." The upbeat song recalled a lot of Jimin and V’s inside history together.
One particular line caught a lot of ARMYs’ attention. The lyrics say, “Our memories are each a movie on its own. The dumpling incident would be a comedy movie yeah yeah.”
Since this “dumpling incident” was never brought up by Jimin or V or even the rest of the BTS members, fans were really curious about it. When a fan asked V about the “dumpling incident” on Weverse, the BTS star simply replied, “It was Team Eat-After-Dancing vs Team Eat-While-Dancing.”
On March 26, Jimin took to VLive to chat with ARMYs. The 24-year-old singer, songwriter, and dancer checked in with their fans, telling them to stay safe and that he misses them. He also answered a couple of questions.
One of those inquiries is about his and V’s “dumpling incident.” Jimin laughed and said that the whole thing is embarrassing to him now. But then he proceeded to share the moment, which was more detailed than V’s previous reply.
“Looking back, it’s not a big thing. But it was for me back then,” he said. “There was this dumpling, and we fought over whether to eat it now or later… ‘We’re here to practice. Let’s eat after practice.’ ‘No, I’m hungry. Let’s eat and practice.’ Either one was fine. Why were we so stubborn?”
Jimin recalled the moment while blushing of embarrassment. However, he tried his best to share the whole story to feed ARMYs curiosity.
“V was so hungry that he wanted to eat and practice,” Jimin continued. “For practice, it’s about only 30 or 40 minutes long, I asked him to practice first and then eat… But V was really hungry. So we fought.”
Jimin shared that their argument became too intense that the other BTS boys told them to go outside and figure things out. However, they ended up fighting some more. Their members then told them to return to the practice room, but they continue to fight for about four hours.
Eventually, Jimin and V talked things over on their own, had some drinks, and ended the dumpling incident.
