The Blacklist season 7 episode 13 is arriving this week on NBC, with the title "Newton Purcell." This episode will see the Task Force investigating a series of attacks on a data center perpetrated by a Blacklister who has a peculiar condition.
The promo of The Blacklist season 7 episode 13 featured this week's Blacklister, someone who can weaponize sound and can do whatever he wants. The video starts with this person asking a question: "Can a person be killed by sound?"
The clip showed that this Blacklister is a dangerous foe and could actually kill a person using sounds. In the promo, a woman within a tank can be seen screaming for help. But, it seems like the Blacklister enjoys torturing her. The clip ended with Red saying: "I'll burn the city to find him."
As for what else is coming in this episode, Liz will conduct a secret investigation. It remains to be seen what she's trying to investigate but it can be noted she helped Katarina Rostova fake her own death. Perhaps, she's speaking with her again, given that Katarina wants to achieve a particular endgame.
However, there is no indication that Katarina will appear in The Blacklist season 7 episode 13. It's also uncertain when will Red find out that she's still alive. Perhaps, he already has suspicions and his inner consciousness possibly thinks that Katarina is still out there.
Meanwhile, Glen is desperate to prove his value to Red after a shipping mishap. This is also an interesting storyline, especially since Glen is already on thin ice when it comes to Red. In the first half of the season, he kept putting off his work with Red due to personal matters.
In another report, CarterMatt noted that NBC tries to court new viewers to increase the shock of the Blacklister case. At the moment, there's already a large pool of potential viewers since most people stay at home due to the health crisis. The network likely wants to win them over to get more attention.
