Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe is having a sensational season, so it's not surprising at all that European giants have identified him as a priority transfer target, which is the case for Real Madrid. And the prospect of having the Frenchman at the Bernabeu generates excitement among fans of the Los Blancos.

Mbappe becoming a Galactico the soonest would be a dream come true for Real fans. The club has been scouting for the best goalscorer available, and normally a candidate would lead to a spirited debate. It's different though with the PSG superstar as he is readily embraced. The moment he joins up with the side of Zinedine Zidane, Mbappe's star will shine even more.

"There is one player who is almost universally agreed upon as a superstar who can become the best player in the world and would fit Real Madrid perfectly from every standpoint ... That player is Kylian Mbappe," said a report by Fansided.

The admiration for Mbappe is understandable. He won the World Cup as a teenager and he is a sight to behold playing on the pitch for PSG and working wonders with Neymar. In the season alone, the 21-year-old managed to clear the net 18 times and assisted in the completion of five goals.

The striker also made his mark in Champions League matches and the records showed that so far he is responsible for five goals and four assists. It's easy to see why Zidane is bent on bringing Mbappe to Spain.

Said the same report: "Mbappe has it all. The skills, off-the-ball movement, instincts on the ball, tactical awareness, explosiveness, presence in the box, physical strength, [and] work ethic."

As can be expected, PSG will not be letting go of their prized asset. Knowing that Mbappe is being eyed by elite clubs, the Parisians are said to be convincing the striker to sign an extension deal - one that will make him among the highest paid in the game.

The object of the move is to ensure that the Frenchman will stay in Paris for a longer time. And when he decides to leave, PSG will want to make sure that the buying club will pay the high price.

The latest estimate on Mbappe's market value could be up to £200 million, and according to Mirror, Real is willing to break the bank to get the young superstar to play under the club's banner.

Zidane is well aware that Mbappe is tied up with PSG until June 2022 but the French boss thinks that with the right offer before them, the Parisians could be persuaded to send the player over, perhaps as early as this summer.

Per the same report, Real now considers Mbappe a priority signing and partly because Zidane has been a long-time fan of the prolific goalscorer.

"I've known him for a long time .... I've been in love with him for a long time, but as a person first. He came here for a trial a long time ago," the Real boss was reported as saying.
