The Premier League made it clear that they want to finish the current season before starting a new one. But the main problem here is how long will they wait? For Harry Kane of the Tottenham Hotspur, setting a deadline would be ideal. This way, the feasibility of continuing the season or not could paint a bigger picture.

The 26-year-old forward, who is currently sidelined due to an injury, believes that there needs to be a point where the league needs to be more practical. For him, a restart would make sense if delays would be only up to June. Going beyond that, however, Kane feels that league officials need to plot out the calendar first to see if finishing the season still makes sense. The English forward gave his two cents worth recently to Jamie Redknapp via Instagram Live.

"There needs to be a point where enough is enough. Probably the limit for me is the end of June," Kane said. "Playing into July or August and pushing next season back, I don’t see too much benefit in that," he added.

With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to surge, most athletes have been restricted to their homes to curb down numbers. Most are getting restless while others are impatiently waiting for some good news. Thus far, a cure for the coronavirus has yet to come out and it may take months to a year before a vaccine does come out for the dreaded disease.

Ironically, Kane is someone who stands to benefit from the lull. It gives him time to heal up and potentially make a return to Tottenham this season if he works himself back to competitive form. But it appears that is farthest from his mind. He prefers to play a typical season rather than potentially return to a fabricated setup should the current Premier League season resume.

Aside from that, Kane was asked about his plans. Though it appears he is content being a HotSpur, murmurs are going around that he could move to another team. Manchester United is a team constantly being mentioned and the English forward prefers to keep things close to his chest.

‘It’s one of those things, I couldn’t say yes, I couldn’t say no. I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs. But it’s one of those things – I’ve always said if I don’t feel we’re progressing as a team or going in the right direction, then I’m not someone to just stay there for the sake of it," Kane said.
