Meghan Markle officially became the Duchess of Sussex after tying the knot with Prince Harry. The couple, reportedly, started dating in 2016 and got engaged a year after. In 2018, they got married, which was immediately followed by the pregnancy announcement.

On May 6, 2019, Archie Harrison was born. While his parents seemingly got all the attention of the press and media, the Duke and Duchess kept almost all details pertaining to the birth of the firstborn son. No one knows where the former actress gave birth, until today.

According to Mirror UKMeghan Markle gave birth at Portland Hospital, a private hospital in Westminster. Just like any other newborn baby, Archie has a birth certificate, which was, reportedly, registered by Prince Harry.

Although the Sussex couple repeatedly emphasized how much they value privacy, especially of their son, documents, like birth certificates are a "matter of public record." So, the public, especially the fans and the media was able to get a peek on the document.

As per reports, the details listed in the certificate shocked and "baffled" many royal fans. The reason being is that Meghan's occupation is listed as "Princess of the United Kingdom."

This, reportedly, caused confusion among royal fans and watchers as Meghan Markle is not a royal-born Princess to have this title. Also, many individuals pointed out that her official title is the "Duchess of Sussex."

Amid all the questions, the publication stated that "technically," she is a Princess. This is because she is married to a royal-born Prince. Hence, after officially tying the knot, she became Her Royal Highness Princess of Wales, since she obtained her husband's name.

It was also noted that the occupation listed under Prince Harry's name is the counterpart of his wife's, "Prince of the United Kingdom." As for their official names, they are both listed as His Royal Highness Henry Charles Albert Davide Duke of Sussex and Rachel Meghan Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex.

Good Housekeeping previously released a similar report. But, instead of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the report focused on Prince Louis' and Princess Charlotte's birth certificates, and how the job titles of Prince William and Kate Middleton are listed.

As revealed, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge listed in their job titles, Prince and Princess of the United Kingdom. While this also brought questions and confusion in, royal experts noted that every member of the British Royal Family, who has titles, is either a Prince or Princess of the United Kingdom. So, it seemingly appears that what they all listed in their children's birth certificates are just suitable and proper.
