Queen Elizabeth recently gave the public an emotional speech amid the coronavirus pandemic. Her Majesty thanked frontline NHS staff, care workers, and people who have been helping out during the global health crisis. She then acknowledged the difficulties that the people are dealing with during the coronavirus outbreak, such as “financial difficulties” and “enormous changed.”

Britons were moved by Her Majesty’s message. However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle remained silent after the historic speech.

Just like most people all around the globe, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are also in lockdown. While they were previously active on Instagram, they appear to be keeping a low profile at the moment.

This could be the reason why they haven’t reacted to Queen Elizabeth’s speech. Senior royals, on the other hand, instantly praised Her Majesty, along with most Britons, on social media.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have stepped down as senior royals on March 31. The couple is currently living in Los Angeles with their son Archie.

Before they officially turned their backs on their roles, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took to their Sussex Royal Instagram account for the last time to bid farewell to their supporters and noted that “While you may not see us here, the work continues.”

“As we can all feel, the world at this moment seems extraordinarily fragile,” the couple wrote. “Yet we are confident that every human being has the potential and opportunity to make a difference—as seen now across the globe, in our families, our communities and those on the front line—together we can lift each other up to realize the fullness of that promise.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle then noted that everyone should put health as their top priority right now.

“What’s most important right now is the health and wellbeing of everyone across the globe and finding solutions for the many issues that have presented themselves as a result of this pandemic,” they continued. “As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ended their final Instagram post with gratitude. The couple also wished everyone to stay in good health during the coronavirus pandemic.

“Thank you to this community - for the support, the inspiration and the shared commitment to the good in the world,” they wrote. “We look forward to reconnecting with you soon. You’ve been great! Until then, please take good care of yourselves, and of one another.”
