Kate Middleton's brother, James Middleton, is launching a new organization for animals who may be impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The name of the charity is The Paw Print Fund, where he hopes to raise money for several animal shelters.
In this time of COVID-19, it's not just humans who are grappling to make ends meet. According to James in an Instagram post, animal centers may also be overrun and overwhelmed with additional dogs and cats because owners may be "struggling to look after their pets."
James said that the money he will raise for The Paw Print Fund will be coursed to several other animal charities like the RSPCA, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home and The Dog Trust. He hopes that by doing this, everyone will be able to help the shelters continue their amazing work.
Kate's brother is an avid animal lover who has credited his pet dogs for giving him comfort and unconditional love, especially in this difficult time. According to Daily Mail, James has at least nine dogs in his care and two of his pets are actually therapy dogs who join him when he is doing volunteer work for Pets as Therapy.
James makes no secret that he suffered from depression and his dogs have helped him recover. He is also open about the fact that he has gone through cognitive behavioral therapy to manage his mental health.
Meanwhile, James was supposed to get married this year after he got engaged to Alizee Thevenet in October 2019. The pair decided, however, that they will push their wedding at a later date because it won't be practical to have their big day amid the crisis.
James and Alizee have yet to confirm their new wedding date but they originally planned for a low-key affair. It is understood that Kate and Prince William will be at the wedding, which may likely involve their kids - George, Charlotte and Louis.
A few years ago, the Cambridge children had an important part in Pippa's wedding. She is the youngest sister of Kate and James. Princess Eugenie could also be in attendance at James and Alizee's wedding since she is good friends the Middleton family.
The couple met in 2018 and have spent a lot of time with their siblings and the Middleton family in private. James and Alizee were also guests at the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor, the cousin of Prince William and Harry.
