Fans of BLACKPINK Jisoo are outraged over YG Entertainment's latest decision to remove the singer from the label's actor page.

According to a report by All Kpop, BLINKs were the first to notice that Jisoo's information could no longer be found on YG's actors' line when other idols who take on acting projects, still remain on the site.

BLINKs decried unfair treatment against Jisoo and even encouraged her to leave YG Entertainment altogether.

It can be recalled apart from her music activities, Jisoo was being groomed as an actress by YG. She previously appeared for a brief role in The Producers in  2015 before she debuted with BLACKPINK and also took on another small role in tVn's Arthdal Chronicles.

During her brief exposure in the episode, Jisoo caused a worldwide twitter trend which even led to rumors that the producers were thinking of expanding her role because of her strong presence.

Recently, it was also reported that webtoon  writer Yaongi personally handpicked Jisoo and ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo to play the lead parts in a drama adaptation of True Beauty.

True Beauty tells the story of Ja Gyung, a woman who becomes famous on social media because of her make up skills which she developed because she was not very pretty in middle school. Her love interest Suho first meets Ja Gyung without her make up in a bookstore. He is described as a tsundere character, or a character who is cold at first but eventually warms up to the lead character.

Fans were hoping for the collaboration between Cha Eun Woo and Jisoo because of their strong visuals  and budding acting talent. They also emphasized how similar Jisoo and Eun Woo looked with Ja Gyung and Suho. However, YG's recent decision could pose as a challenge to the possibility of Jisoo's official acting debut.

Apart from pulling the rug on Jisoo's potential acting projects, BLINKS have also criticized YG Entertainment for constantly delaying the release of BLACKPINK's comeback, which was rumored for release last March.

It can be recalled that YG earlier announced that BLACKPINK will definitely come out with their much anticipated comeback album within the first quarter of the year. However, promotion issues spawning from the Coronavirus pandemic led YG to postpone the comeback yet again.

Recently, BLINKs trended the hashtag #BLACKPINK1YearOfHiatus  to mark an entire year since the release of Kill This Love, BLACKPINK's one and only comeback for 2019. After the release of the megahit song last year, BLACKPINK's activities were limited to the Your Area World Tour. While successful, fans were dissatisfied over the lack of new material from the talented girl group, reported Koreaboo.
