Queen Elizabeth is leading the royal family in sending out Easter greetings while everyone is in isolation. Her Majesty recorded a message where she talked about "light overcoming darkness" amid this coronavirus pandemic.

The Queen's message was shared throughout the Royal Family social media accounts on Easter Sunday. It's the first time that the Queen shared an Easter message this way because of the unusual circumstances experienced everywhere in the world.

Every year, Queen Elizabeth and the royal family usually attend an Easter mass at the St. George's Chapel in Windsor. However, since gatherings are discouraged to stop the spread of the virus, members of the royal family were not able to converge and celebrate this religious holiday.

Queen Elizabeth is in isolation at Windsor Castle and has not been meeting people to cut her and Prince Philip's health risks. In her message, Queen Elizabeth said that the virus will not overcome the people. She also said the "living flame of Easter" will bring hope as the people face an uncertain future.

Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, also shared their Easter message on social media following the Queen's post. The royal couple is staying at Birkhall in Scotland amid the isolation. It's also where Prince Charles recovered after testing positive for coronavirus more than two weeks ago.

The Prince of Wales and his wife posted a photo of daffodils and the Westminster Abbey to commemorate the religious holiday. Prince Charles also enjoined the people to listen to his recording of the Gospel on Easter, which can be accessed online.

Similarly, Prince William and Kate Middleton, who are staying at Anmer Hall in Norfolk with their three kids, also posted a photo of daffodils from Kensington Palace, their official home in London. In Europe, daffodils grow abundantly during the spring thus it's a familiar symbol for Easter, which takes place in March or April.

Princess Eugenie, Prince William's cousin, also posted an Easter greeting to her online followers online. She quoted a line from her grandmother's message and shared photos of beautiful flowers to signify that spring has come.

The York princess is staying with her parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, during the quarantine. Princess Eugenie, however, has been distributing many care packages to the NHS frontliners.

It is believed that the royals will be observing isolation from their separate homes until the end of May, as per the government's directive. Queen Elizabeth will likely not return to Buckingham Palace until after the summer.
