Sophie, Countess of Wessex, continuously impresses the public with her efforts to help people amid the coronavirus outbreak. As everyone is confined in their homes due to the lockdown, Prince Edward's wife go the extra mile to send aid to the homeless.

The rest of the royal family has been working from home since mid-March, but the countess went out of her way to visit the Hope Hub, an organization that works to prevent and end homelessness in Surrey Heath and near areas, Hello! Magazine. Although the 55-year-old royal stayed mum about her outing herself, the Surrey Heath Council revealed her secret visit in a series of photos on its official Twitter account.

In a tweet, Hope Hub revealed that it is honored to receive a private visit from Sophie on April 9 "to help pack and deliver Easter food parcels for homeless and vulnerable" people, who are in emergency accommodation in Surrey Heath. To follow the government's advice, Sophie donned latex gloves and a surgical mask to protect herself from the coronavirus. She also maintained two meters of safety distance from people inside the hub to follow the social distancing order.

The visit to Hope Hub is just one of Sophie's many charity works done in the past few days amid the coronavirus outbreak. On April 4, she also took part in a video conference call, as posted on the Royal Family Twitter account.

According to Express, Sophie joined the National Autistic Society and the International Civil Society Action Network to know how other communities deal with the coronavirus pandemic. Later, the page also shared a video where she showed a message of support to ICAN. She also joined a conference call with What The Women Say and sent another video message to show her support to Women Peace Builders and Survivors and Advocates against Conflict Related Sexual Violence.

With her dedication to her work amid this challenging time, it only showed why she is said to be Queen Elizabeth II's favorite. Her Majesty, too, will surely value her daughter-in-law's work for the crown, as other senior royals are is self-isolation due to the outbreak and lockdown. Hence, they are all heavily relying on social media to connect with the public. 

Sophie's unique approached to her royal duties sets her apart from the rest of the royal family. CEO of 100 Women in Finance Amanda Pullinger believes she manages to present herself as an ordinary person, which is what the royal family needs to do.
