Kang Daniel's hiatus to focus on his mental health seems to be paying off as the singer is now better able to manage the stress of being a celebrity and the CEO of his own label. The Kpop sensation recently talked about his recent comeback and dealing with the pressures of stardom.

According to a report by Soompi, Kang Daniel recently opened up about dealing with superstardom during a recent interview with star1 Magazine.

In the interview, he talked about the refreshing feeling of staging a comeback after taking several months off to deal with his mental health issues. It can be recalled that late last year, Kang Daniel was reported to have suffered from anxiety and depression, prompting him to take a hiatus from the music business.

He released his comeback CYAN last March and came back in a big way. Not only did his album top the charts in iTunes all over the world, but he also released a solo reality show Hello Daniel and also implemented some changes to his social media management. He maintains a personal account but all of his professional postings are now handled by his label.

"I'm thankful for people even recognizing my name. Before, because of the pressures that come with my name, I felt like I was weighing myself down. Now, I won't be swayed or influenced by fame, and I want to become someone who takes the lead," he said about his new outlook.

Despite his young age, Kang Daniel is blazing his own trail in the music industry and taking control of his career. He established his own label last year after members of WANNA One parted ways in the wake of its successful run.

To push himself further, Kang Daniel is also working with other talented musicians like singer-songwriter Zico, who recently left his group BLOC B to go solo.

Zico recently came out with the trending hit Any Song and collaborated with Super Junior for the song 2YA2YAO which brought second-gen idols' music to new heights.

This time around, Zico and Kang Daniel are collaborating for Starship Entertainment's Project for the Love of Korea for soft drink giant Pepsi Cola.

Based on the teaser, the collaboration will focus on a traditional concept since Kang Daniel and Zico are both featured in hanbok inspired outfits. Fans are speculating that it might have something to do with creating a fusion between the traditional music of Korea with the modern sound of these two young Kpop superstars, All Kpop reported.
