APINK Bomi was on the receiving end of criticism from some members of the ARMY fandom who accused her of dating a BTS member.
According to a report by Kpopstarz, APINK Bomi did a live stream with APINK's Pink Panda fandom when she started receiving rude comments on the stream.
The malicious commenter called out Bomi on her VLive stream and said that she should leave APINK is she was dating BTS members.
The criticism caught the singer by surprise because she was earlier rumored to be dating EXO's Chen and not a BTS member. She dismissed both rumors and maintained that there was no truth to it.
However, Pink Pandas were not so keen at letting the incident go and said that ARMYs went over the line in invading Bomi's live stream to hurl malicious accusations against the APINK member.
"For 1,000,000 times! We don't hate BTS, we hate their toxic and immature fans," one fan said.
An ARMY member even appealed to fellow fans to stop hating on other idols and respect the privacy of both BTS and other artists.
Pink Pandas were incensed at the attack against Bomi since there were no rumors linking her to any BTS member, making them wonder what sparked the outrage in the first place.
In related news, APINK released their latest comeback last April 13 with the mini-album Look. The mini-album marks the group's ninth mini album and marked a landmark year for APINK, who is celebrating their 10th debut anniversary soon.
"All albums are special, but for this one, rather than having hopes for rankings, we put more importance in our promotions. We wanted to make great memories with our fans, and we got so much love. It's the first time in five years. This is all thanks to our fans.," Bomi said in an interview.
Look was met with a lot of love from the fans and the title track Dumhdurum steadily climbed through the charts to reach No. 1. Members said they were overwhelmed with the love and support that they received for their new music, reported Soompi.
"When the song was climbing the ranks, I thought, 'What are the chances it will get No. 1?' But the moment it hit No. 1, I started to get phone calls, and we cried together," Chorong said in an interview with KBS CoolFM's Jung Eun Ji's Music Plaza.
