Baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is about to celebrate his first birthday on May 6, and even though he's still young, fans have been waiting for the Sussexes' baby number two. As Prince Harry earlier revealed that he wanted to only have two kids, it looked like it's going to happen soon as Meghan Markle, reportedly, hinted her interest to have another baby when she said she wanted a "pint-sized buddy" for her son.
One of the Duchess of Sussex's friends told Daily Mail that they talked about the idea of having another kid, and the former actress is open about it. "She joked that he needs a pint-size little buddy other than the dogs," the pal said.
The former actress even lit up when she talked about baby Archie. She described her son as a "bundle of energy" who prefers to pay rather than sleep. At an early age, they already noticed that he's fascinated with mini-instruments and loves to bang anything he sees.
Meghan Markle's buddy also revealed that Archie likes it when his dad, Prince Harry, teases him and plays the harmonica, thinking it's the funny thing to do. Although he is only 11 months old, the proud parents now see that he's quite the character, loves to laugh, and an overall happy baby.
In March, news emerged that the couple wanted to give Archie a younger sibling. A source told Us Weekly they'll be trying to give him a little sister or brother pretty soon after they have settled down into their new home. So far, they both wanted to give their kid all the attention they could.
At this stage, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoy all the precious moments they spend with him. Although they're committed to having another baby, they don't want to put too much pressure onto it.
Last year, the Duke of Sussex revealed in an interview for Vogue, which his wife guest-edited, that he only wanted to have two kids maximum, The Sun noted. In a talk with Dr Jane Goodall, he said he only aimed to have a couple of kids to save the planet.
Earlier this week, Prince Harry opened up about spending quarantine life with his family in California. In a video call with his patron, he revealed that he "rolled on the floor in hysterics" with Archie and Meghan Markle. Talking to parents with disabled kids in the United Kingdom, he knew how hard for them living with a kid as he already feels a handful of it with his son.
