As everyone is now talking about Babyface's revelation about Michael Jackson's desire to date Halle Berry, it wasn't revealed if the famed actress refused or accepted the offer. In the 62-year-old singer-songwriter's Instagram Live session with Teddy Riley, he told the late King of Pop asked him to call Halle because he wanted to take her out for a date.

While jamming out to the remix of Michael Jack's classic hit, Human Nature, Babyface remembered a true story and told a fun fact about Michael Jackson to Teddy. "One time, Michael called me and said, 'Babyface, do you know who Halle Berry is?'" he said. When the "Whip Appeal" hitmaker said he knew the actress, MJ then asked him for a favor to call the Monster's Ball star and tell him he wanted to go on a date with her.

But as Babyface didn't have Halle Berry's number, he called his agent instead, who was equally surprised as him. He then waited to hear back from the Catwoman star, and when they finally talked, the record producer cut everyone's hope, saying he couldn't reveal what exactly Halle told him.

Anyhow, if he would liken her reaction to a movie, Babyface played Halle Berry's line from the film Boomerang, questioning Michael Jackson's ability to love and his knowledge about it. By the looks of it, Halle turned down Michael's offer, Mirror Online noted. He then went on to date Lisa Marie Presley and Brooke Shields at the time.

As expected, fans were quite surprised with Babyface's admission. They quickly flooded Twitter with their comments, with one writing that he couldn't move on from the fact that Michael Jackson wanted to take Halle Berry out on a date. Another one added that what the controversial performer did was the "ultimate flex."

According to ABC News, fans had been waiting for Babyface and Teddy's epic '80s/'90s music face-off on Instagram. After it was canceled on Saturday due to technical difficulties, it finally pushed through on Monday. Called Verzuz event, it showed artists taking turns playing the hit records that they worked on and contributed to.

Babyface is said to have produced several of Michael Jackson's hit songs. Verzuz is the project of the producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland as their way to help people get entertained during the quarantine. In their recent live session, Babyface and Teddy played the classic hits, like Tevin Campbell's "Can We Talk" and Keith Sweat's "Make It Last Forever, aside from Michael's "Human Nature."
