NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 finale is coming later this week on CBS, with the title "Code of Conduct." It looks like there is a serious concern entering this episode, as Sam's life might be in serious danger. The promo hints that the character is seemingly shot.

In NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 finale, Sam, Callen, and Rountree are going to Afghanistan to help investigate a sensitive case. Two SEALs are claiming that their chief murdered and unarmed prisoner. This mission proved to be a dangerous one for them, as the promo feature intense scenes.

They will be investing the claims against Special Warfare Chief Petty Officer Thomas Argento, who, allegedly, killed a Taliban prisoner. Sam is the right person to have conversations with regarding this matter because of the respect Sam has among the SEALs.

But then, it looks like Sam is in big trouble within this episode, given that a gunshot was heard in the clip. Although it wasn't shown who was shot, the promo shows that a man is pointing a gun on Sam. This likely suggests that the character was the one who was shot.

However, there's also a chance that no one was actually shot, and that the gunshot was just teased the promo to make viewers more excited with the finale. It also remains to be seen whether or not there would be a huge cliffhanger, given that the episode wasn't the original ending.

Due to the current health crisis, the series opted to air an alternative season finale. The series halted its production due to the COVID-19 outbreak, so there are changes along the way. And while there may not be a huge cliffhanger, the series will still feature interesting stories.

In fact, NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 finale sees the return of JAG star Catherine Bell coming back as Mac. The character appears for a particular reason, which has something to do with the complicated case. In the sneak peek, she's the one who warned Sam and Callen about the possible dangers in their mission.

However, there's no indication that JAG star David James Elliott will also return as Harm within this episode. But despite that, his arrival may still happen at some point, as long as there's a crossover story between the series and the flagship show.

NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 finale airs on Sunday night, Apr. 26, on CBS.
