Just like Joe Biden, his wife, Jill Biden, already has her chosen vice president for her husband to run with. However, they are both unsure if this personality will agree to be the presidential hopeful's running mate, despite being highly fit and qualified for the job.
In an interview, the former Second Lady of the United States revealed that she is hoping Michelle Obama would accept the people's call to run as vice president and be Joe Biden's running mate. "I'd love it if Michelle would agree to it," she said, as Celebrity Insider noted.
However, Jill Biden believes the former First Lady already had it with politics. But if she ever decides to run for a political post, the 68-year-old educator thinks it will be fantastic. She even praised Barack Obama's wife for being "so good at everything she does."
Joe Biden earlier revealed that he's eyeing a woman to fill the post, and one of them is Kamala Harris. His wife agrees to his decision, explaining that there are a lot of "qualified, strong women," and they are now seeing all of them through the process they are going through.
Jill Biden now leaves up all the decisions to her spouse. Joe Biden often says that he and Barack Obama share the same values, and that's what most important to him and the reason why they get along. "I think that's what he'll look for, a woman who will share the same values as he does," she added.
In additon, Joe Biden also said in his recent interview that he would pick Michelle Obama as his vice president "in a heartbeat." He also praised the former attorney from Illinois for being brilliant and a fine woman, who knows the way around.
He even calls the Obamas are their great friends. However, he thinks that the Becoming author has no intention to live anywhere near the White House anymore.
Meanwhile, according to The Guardian, the former senator openly talks about what he is looking for a running mate and a successor. As his move seems to be different, as the process of looking for a vice president is usually shrouded in secrecy, he wants to remind voters it's the role he perfectly knows.
Working as Barack Obama's vice president for two terms, Joe Biden knows that choosing the right vice president will help shape not only his campaign but his presidency. The first and most important quality he is looking for is someone who can be the next president anytime if he, for whatever reasons, decides to walk away.
