After her very public divorce scandal with actor Ahn Jae Hyun, Gu Hye Sun has expressed regret over making the details of her life public.
According to a report by All Kpop, Gu Hye Sun recently posted an update on Instagram hinting at her return to the entertainment industry.
The actress said that she was filming and proceeded to share several shots, looking like she was in a photoshoot.
It can be recalled that Gu Hye Sun lied low after her explosive divorce scandal with Ahn Jae Hyun where she made public their marital troubles through a series of social media posts. In her tirade, she accused Ahn Jae Hyun of being an irresponsible husband and even accused him of having an affair with other women.
The actress also alleged that her husband was seeing her People with Flaws co-star Oh Yeon Seo. Her agency, Celltrion Entertainment wasted no time in threatening a lawsuit against Gu Hye Sun for her malicious implication.
Throughout their messy back and forth, Ahn Jae Hyun lost many of his endorsement deals and also suffered setbacks with his career as he opted to take a break from filimig New Journey to the West and Kang's Kitchen at the height of his marital issues.
Gu Hye Sun was also met with criticism after Dispatch released the full text of her chat exchange with her former husband, showing the deterioration of their relationship.
Her latest post, Gu Hye Sun said that she now wants to focus on the future instead of the past.
"I'm trying to forget everything that happened and am thinking about the future ahead of me a lot. My heart is sorry. There were parts of my private life I tried to appeal to the public. I told myself a lot that this wasn't it. As I found society more difficult, I began thinking about whether I should say certain things," she said.
She added that given all that has happened, it may be difficult to promote as a celebrity. However, she remains hopeful that she could gradually return to work soon.
Ahn Jae Hyun and Gu Hye Sun met and fell in love on the set of Blood in 2015 and got married in 2016. They also appeared on the Newlywed Diaries during the early days of their marriage. They went public with their marital troubles last August.
