Outlander season 5 episode 11 is arriving later this week on Starz, with the title "Journeycake." There are only two episodes left this season, and this one serves as the penultimate installment. Things could get even more intense from here until the season finale.
Based on the promo of Outlander season 5 episode 11, more threats are coming in for the Frasers and other characters. The clip starts with Jamie and Claire comforting Ulysses, who killed Gerald Forbes in defense of Jocasta. He is now considered as a murderer.
Ulysses saved Jacosta's life from Forbes as he tried to smother her with a pillow. This seemed to be a heroic act, but not in this era. What Claire and Jamie need to do now is to make a cover-up story to help Ulysses. It looks like he's living somewhere far to avoid the prying eyes.
Jacosta may also try to protect Ulysses, but that may not be entirely easy. There are people who inquire about Forbes, so how can they actually establish a cohesive cover story? Perhaps, Ulysses' will be further explored moving forward, especially since this is a huge storyline for him.
As for what else is coming in Outlander season 5 episode 11, the Revolutionary War is fast approaching. This will be a significant storyline along the way, and it looks like more chaos is coming to Fraser's Ridge. The promo also teased there could be violent encounters and some lives are in danger.
Since this is the penultimate episode, things will be more intense than ever. The synopsis also notes that Brianna and Roger must decide whether they want to stay of return to the future. Meanwhile, Jamie finds a new power, which starts from unrest in the backcountry.
As for Stephen Bonnet, the character died in the previous episode, titled "Mercy Shall Follow Me." He met his ultimate demise in the hands of none other than Brianna Fraser. She shot him right before he's about to drown to death at his execution.
Bonnet's death is different from the actual source material, as he died in A Breath of Snow and Ashes, which is Book 6. But perhaps, they decided to speed things and deliver his closure this season, rather than continuing it in the next installment.
