Snowfall season 4 is officially happening on FX. However, there are still a lot of questions when it comes to its official release date. Nothing is confirmed at the moment but it looks like the arrival of the new installment might be delayed.

Right now, filming for Snowfall season 4 is not yet complete. This information has been confirmed by co-executive producer Leonard Chang via Twitter. Earlier in March 2020, Chang revealed that they've stopped filming for a couple of weeks. He also shared they're still writing and editing.

It seems like there's a lot of work that needed to be done in Snowfall season 4. Considering the health situation of the world at the moment, it looks like they won't be back filming anytime soon. Thus, there could be a potential delay in the arrival of the upcoming installment.

Perhaps, FX may delay the premiere of the new season and then air its entirety later on. The network may also decide to either airing what they've got later this summer or taking a big hiatus. Nothing is certain right now, and it remains to be seen what would be the next move of FX.

It can be noted that the series arrives in mid-summer. All three preceding installments premiered in July and ended in September. But based on the current state of the world due to the COVID-19 outbreak, Snowfall season 4 may not arrive in the said month, especially since filming hasn't yet finished.

In the end, everything is still up to FX; whether or not they'll delay the new installment. While more episodes are definitely coming along the way, viewers may need to wait for now. The series isn't the only show that halted its production, as other shows from other networks did the same as well.

As for who's returning in Snowfall season 4, Damson Idris, Carter Hudson, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Isaiah John, Amin Joseph, Angela Lewis, Michael Hyatt, Judith Scott, Alon Aboutboul, Kevin Carroll, and Reign Edwards are all expected to return in the new installment.

Snowfall is an American crime drama series created by Dave Andron, Eric Amadio, and John Singleton. The series is set in Los Angeles in 1983, which revolves around the first crack epidemic and what is its impact on the city's culture.

The series centers on the stories of several characters whose lives are meant to intersect: Franklin Saint (Idris), a 19-year-old drug dealer; Gustavo "El Oso" Zapata (Peris-Mencheta), a Mexican luchador; and Teddy McDonald (Hudson), CIA operative.
