Suga is one of the BTS members who doesn’t use social media that much. Although the BTS rapper is usually seen with his phone, he doesn’t post pictures or updates on any of the group’s accounts as much as the other boys do.
So when Suga told ARMYs on Twitter on April 23 to post their questions for him to answer, it drove fans into a frenzy. Two days later, the 27-year-old rapper, songwriter, and record producer hosted an hour-long “AskShoopD” Q&A session.
As expected, questions quickly poured in. Suga obviously couldn’t answer all of them, but he did try to reply to as many as possible.
What made his Q&A session unique is the fact that Suga doesn’t only reply with normal answers. The BTS rapper would give unique answers even to the simplest questions.
When asked if what kind of music he is listening to these days, Suga didn’t reply with a genre. Instead, he shared that “I’m listening to a lot of BTS, actually. I’ve always questioned doubtfully why people find our music consoling… but these days, I hear it. I am also comforted by BTS songs.”
Another one asked if Suga may consider dropping a vocal song. He replied: “Yes, although it probably wouldn’t be like a full-on vocal-only song. But I mean, who knows? Maybe I’ll end up declaring that I want to be in the vocal line from then on.”
One ARMY asked if what do BTS like to do when they’re hanging out. Suga shared: “We talk so much. Those Bangtan Bomb episodes don’t cover half the things we say. It makes me wonder… Are we really idols? Or are we comedians?”
Just like everyone else, Suga revealed that he also has troubles. But instead of picking one thing that troubled him the most, he said: “I’m troubled that I have so many troubles…”
When it comes to his inspiration, Suga didn’t say a specific one either. Instead, he shared a unique yet relatable answer. “Everything can be inspirational, even the face mask and the coffee, the mouse and keyboard in front of me too. It’s all about how you interpret these things. That’s how lyrics come. Like, say there are some clothes tossed on top of the speakers. Right? That in itself can be an inspiration,” he said.
Lastly, and possibly the most unique answer during Suga’s Q&A session was when he was asked: “What is the answer when you don’t know the answer?” The BTS rapper replied: “Number 3. I have this strange faith in the number 3, although it is rarely the correct answer.”
