Kate Middleton has been preparing for her future role as queen consort when Prince William becomes king, but things may change. As Prince Charles will first ascend the throne before her husband, the Duchess of Cambridge needs to follow her father-in-law's new rules.
When Prince Charles becomes the new King, the online magazine The Talko, via New Idea, revealed the Prince of Wales would overhaul the royal family's roles in the monarchy. He might impose stricter rules, which Kate Middleton needed to adhere.
As Prince William was once criticized when she joined the royal family, she might once again experience the same criticisms when the Prince of Wales wears the crown. As much as possible, the royal family stays to be politically neutral, but it remains to be seen if the future king will change this, too.
Prince Charles has been openly talking about some important topics, like global warming, which he may be changing. He even gets Prince Harry's support about the monarchy's modernization. So, if he pushes through with his plan to change the tradition, not just Kate Middleton but Prince William has to follow their dad's new regulations, too.
Anyhow, the mother-of-three has been receiving praises for her preparation to become her husband's queen consort. "Since their marriage in 2011, Kate, who once seemed shy when speaking in public, has matured enchantingly," royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.
Not only that, but she's also a fashion icon, whose fashion choices always incite global interest. Her appearances, from live to now virtual due to COVID-19 pandemic, are always spontaneous. It also proves her keen sense of duty and commitment to the charitable causes she champions, especially the organizations that involve children and mental health awareness.
So far, Kate Middleton has been a patron of 20 organizations and charities for the past nine years. She, too, has been Prince William's positive support system.
Fitzwilliams added that the royal couple is doing an excellent job by continuing their communication to people and causes that are involved in the fight against the coronavirus. Their appearances, although virtually, have shown both of their humor and compassion.
Kate Middleton also doesn't forget to give back to the public by sharing photos of her kids. Her being an amateur photographer blesses everyone with updates and the activities Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are doing at tappropriate times. In January, royal author Leslie Carrol told Fox News that Prince William's spouse would be seen as the face of the British monarchy as it continues to evolve, and it rings true today.
