Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, is about to celebrate his first birthday on May 6. The Sussexes promised to release a new photo of their kid to mark the occasion, though it remains to be seen where they would share it. As he is about to grow up away from the royal family due to his parents' departure from the monarchy, what future awaits for Archie?
Archie may have a different life compared to other royal kids. With his Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's desire to have a normal life, it is highly likely that the 11-month-old child will have a simple upbringing.
However, veteran royal reporter Phil Dampier told New Idea that despite their wish to give Archie the normal life they wanted, it might not be possible. Royal expert Angela Mollard said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex couldn't change the fact that their son is a member of the royal family.
Former royal protection officer Ken Wharfe also warned of the security risk the child is facing. He was even surprised that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left him in Canada when they returned to the United Kingdom to complete their royal duties.
As they now moved to Los Angeles, Archie may grow up with a different upbringing unlike that of his cousins, Princess George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, from Prince William and Kate Middleton. He will have a more civilian life and meet civilian children at his future schools.
But with his bloodline, his parents have to find a school where he can be safe. He will also surely remain to be a popular student because of his stand. "Little is known about plans for Archie's life and schooling, which is exactly how his parents want it, but nothing can change that he is a member of the royal family," Mollard stressed.
Meanwhile, Archie is about to celebrate his first birthday. So, to give back to their loyal supporters, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle vowed to release new photos of him. However, it remains to be a big mystery as to where they will post his new snaps.
The couple's spokesperson confirmed that the two would give fans, and critics alike, a glimpse of their child. "You can expect to see him," a spokesman confirmed to Sunday Times, as noted by Express.
However, he didn't give any details about where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would post his photos. This gives birth to the assumption that the Sussexes will finally launch their new Instagram account, which will probably bear the name Archewell.
