The Blacklist season 7 episode 18 is coming this week on NBC, with the title "Roy Cain." Big stories are coming up within this episode, especially for Raymond Reddington. There is a serious concern when it comes to his health and it seems like his fate is up in the air.
Reddington's presence wasn't felt in the previously aired episode, "Brothers." Because of that, there were speculations the character is not in a good condition considering what happened to him at the end of episode 16. Now, The Blacklist season 7 episode 18 may offer answers to some questions.
This episode may further explore about his current condition. Based on the synopsis, Reddington thinks about a successor after his recent health scare. One of the major concerns here is that his condition might be more than what we expected that's why he's now looking for his successor.
In episode 16, titled "Nyle Hatcher," Reddington collapsed, making some viewers worried about his future. There have been speculations that the character may die before the season ends since there are hints that something was wrong with him.
While there's no official confirmation Reddington is leaving, there's still a concern. It remains to be seen whether or not he won't make it through this season. But then, it's also worth noting that James Spader's character is the forefront of the series and it's hard to imagine the show without him.
Meanwhile, when it comes to his potential successor, Liz is probably one of his candidates. She has darker impulses, but some would question her ability to control a criminal empire. Dembe is also another candidate, given that he has connections.
As for what else is coming in The Blacklist season 7 episode 18, the Task Force will investigate the kidnapping incident executed by an impossible abductor. Because of this, Dembe has landed in a perilous situation.
This investigation is important for Dembe as the person who was kidnapped was his Imam. His name is Sadiq Asmal and was captured by Katarina Rostova. Dembe considers his Imam as his friend and spiritual adviser, so he'll do whatever he can to save him from the hands of Katarina.
Yet, this wouldn't be easy at all as Katarina may use Dembe's Imam to manipulate him and get information about Reddington. Katarina probably comes up with this plan as she knows that Dembe knows a lot of things involving Reddington.
