Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle were once dubbed as the “Royal Fab Four.” The public has witnessed the close relationship of the two couples up until the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge renamed their charity to remove the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s names.
While it sounded like Prince William and Kate Middleton kicked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle off the foundation, it was the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who decided to break away from it to start their charity called the Sussex Royal foundation, sparking speculations that they were feuding.
The move may just be a result of two couples wanting to focus on the foundation separately. However, people are still leaning towards the fact that the Cambridges and the Sussexes are not getting along anymore.
Now, a new report claims that Prince William and Kate Middleton's children may possibly speak to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle firstborn this week because of the latter's first birthday. The Cambridges and Sussexes have, allegedly, not communicated “in months.”
“The Queen will wish him a happy birthday this week via Zoom as will the Cambridge children,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told OK! Magazine. “They haven’t seen their little cousin in months so they’ve been looking forward to seeing how much he’s grown.”
Meanwhile, many have noticed that Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle barely interacted with one another during the annual Commonwealth Service at London's Westminster Abbey on Monday. Even though the Sussexes were just behind the Cambridges, the couples didn’t engage in a conversation at all.
Royal experts Omid Scobie and Maggie Rulli discussed the moment on the Heir Podcast. Rulli pointed out that when Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in their seats, Meghan Markle appeared to say hello but didn’t get a greeting back.
"The moment a lot of people are talking about is where they had the chance to have the optics of unity,” she said. "A lot of the younger royals were sitting together and it appears in this moment Meghan sort of mouths hello to William and Kate who are sitting nearby to them and it appears no one gestures back.
Omid Scobie then shared his surprise with the “frosty reception” that the Cambridges gave to the Sussexes. It is worth noting that Prince William and Kate Middleton first greeted Prince Edward and Sophie before saying hello back to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who answered with a smile.
