Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been compared to each other numerous times. While the Duchesses are two completely different individuals with different styles of handling and completing their royal duties, supporters, critics, royal experts, and more are still comparing the two women.
Now, a new report claims that Meghan Markle outperformed Kate Middleton during her first royal speech. The Duchess of Sussex may no longer be a working royal as she and Prince Harry officially stepped down from their roles at the end of March, but her presence during her time in the UK, reportedly, left its mark.
Body language expert Judi James compared Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s first royal speech and favored the latter.
“Kate clearly has the natural ‘stardust’ factor that her husband lacks, but her speech-making style has previously been over-cautious, led by what looks like a strong desire to get it right and avoid mistakes,” she said. “It looked mannered and choreographed, with too many regular pauses that were timed regardless of context. These are often used to slow a fast speaker down, but good modern speakers tend to put authenticity over a ‘perfect’ delivery that lacks impact.”
As for Meghan Markle, her acting background has definitely helped her as Judi James shared that the Duchess of Sussex didn’t even have any notes when she delivered her speech. She was an actress before tying the knot to Prince Harry, so learning lines was something that comes naturally to her than Kate Middleton.
But Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s first speech is not the only thing that people compare. In fact, the pair have been compared to each other over anything and one of the craziest comparisons was their legs.
Previously, fans took to social media to talk about Princess Diana, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle’s legs.
Royal fans praised Princess Diana and Kate Middleton’s legs, while many said Meghan Markle’s are under par compared to them. One netizen posted a photo of the three women on Twitter and captioned it, “ And in the matter of… LEGS… one is clearly an affront to the field of vision…”
While Princess Diana, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle are all considered to be slim, the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Cambridge have athletic legs while the wife of Prince Harry has really skinny stems. Critics of the Duchess of Sussex then took this as an opportunity to make fun of her.
