Donald Trump has shocked millions of Americans earlier this week when reports revealed that he is about to move forward in reopening the country. For several weeks now, sources noted how the US President has been very eager to open the country despite the risks of the coronavirus.

It is not surprising, though, given that damages on the economy of the country have been apparent since the borders had been shut down. But, what is shocking, though, is that the American leader is, reportedly, prepared to take risks in recovering the US's economy despite the loss of life of thousands of Americans.

On Monday, a leaked internal White House report, released by the New York Times, shocked the public when it asserts that the daily new cases of COVID-19 in the country will likely reach 200,000 from the current 25,000 cases per day. Aside from the new predictions on the daily cases, the daily death toll due to the virus will also, reportedly, reach over 3,000 from the current 1,750 starting this summer.

Despite the "depressing" new projections, however, CNN reported that "two administration officials" revealed that these figures would not likely affect Donald Trump's, as well as the White House's plans for the United States. As asserted, the incumbent President has remained focused and eager to reopen the country, as soon as possible.

The publication continued to share that, on Tuesday, the President stated that the "Americans" are now "ready [to] come out of isolation." He also, reportedly, added that most of the public has been wanting to "get back to normal life." Donald Trump then went on to continue that people "have to be careful." However, they also have to "get back to work."

These statements were said to have come after the public health expert, Anthony Fauci "warned" in the same publication's interview on Monday night that new cases of COVID-19 will have a "rebound" if the country pushes a "premature reopening."

According to The Guardian, several individuals shared their thoughts about Donald Trump and the White House's plans toward the country's reopening. New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, reportedly, said that the faster the country reopens, "the lower the economic costs." However, the "human costs" are higher "because the more lives lost."

A similar point was also given a former Republican strategist, Rick Wilson when he, reportedly, said that the White House has decided in a "very utilitarian" way that the "political damage from a collapsed economy" is much greater than the political damage from losing lives of Americans. On the other hand, New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie, reportedly, contended that increased deaths due to the virus "could be worth it," especially if the economy reopens."
