Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have two daughters together and they had a taste of acting last year. But one tabloid viewed it in a different light. A new rumor indicated that the actress is grooming her young daughters to follow her footsteps.

The National Enquirer published a story this week claiming that Kidman has taken a new role as a stage mother for her daughters, Sunday Rose, 11, and Faith Margaret, 10. A source of the tabloid alleged that the Big Little Lies actress has been trying to nab auditions for her two kids.

"Nicole is playing it cool in the press about the girls going Hollywood but she's using all her contacts to pave their way to stardom!" the source said.

The tabloid may have used Kidman's recent interview with Wall Street Journal magazine in claiming that the actress is preparing her kids to become stars. In WSJ's interview, Nicole said her children "have a great work ethic" while on set.

The Aquaman actress could be referring to her children's attitude when both Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret had their debut on Big Little Lies Season 2 last year. They also voiced characters in The Angry Birds Movie 2, which was released in August 2019.

Nicole was also asked what she would do if one of the girls told her that she wants to be a full-time actress someday. Kidman said she wouldn't stop any of her children from pursuing their passion. However, this doesn't mean that Nicole is pushing them to become actors.

Gossip Cop noted that if these are the National Enquirer basis for claiming that Kidman is pushing her kids to stardom, it is a ridiculous and false assumption. The publication also reached out to Kidman's rep, who assured that there is no truth to the tabloid's claims and the actress is not assuming the role of a stage mom.

Kidman and Urban have gotten used to rumors about their marriage or their family over the years. The country singer once said in an interview that they just laugh off the split rumors about them but admitted that it was a bit rough to explain the fake news to their children.

Gossip Cop also noted that the Enquirer is not exactly a reliable source of news about Kidman and Urban. Earlier this year, it falsely claimed that the Bombshell actress decided to join her husband on tour to save their marriage.

Last year, it also implied that Kidman was sending secret messages to her children that she shares with Tom Cruise to try to get them out of Scientology. Gossip Cop debunked both claims.
