J-Hope is known to be the group’s official funny guy. The BTS rapper is always hyper and bubbly, which is why ARMYs gave him the title “Sunshine” as his personality is so bright that it makes everyone happy.

However, J-Hope can get pretty serious as well. In fact, most of BTS documentaries show his leadership side, giving the other boys instructions and more. RM even described him as the second leader of BTS.

J-Hope’s leadership side is recently flaunted in BTS’s new docuseries Break The Silence. RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook performed in Singapore for their LOVE YOURSELF world tour in January 2019. The group then shared a nice photo on Twitter after the concert was ended. (Check out the photo here).

While the snap looked like their usual “end of the concert photo,” what ARMYs didn’t know is what happened before the picture was taken. Break The Silence revealed that Jungkook was crying (which explains why his eyes were red in the picture) because he felt that he didn’t give his best performance at the time.

“No matter how hard I try, there are things that are hard for me, which can be frustrating,” Jungkook said.

J-Hope then gave Jungkook a very important piece of advice, and that is to pace himself. The BTS rapper shared that the golden maknae is “someone who danced until his body breaks in every performance.”

Being the dance leader of BTS, J-Hope knows this feeling very well. He is also a perfectionist, so he can relate to Jungkook’s frustrations. But instead of just telling him to move on from it, J-Hope shared some words of wisdom to Jungkook.

“Jungkook, I want to tell you something. I think you should pace yourself,” J-Hope said. “When you dance powerfully on stage, it’s really great. The fans see you and notice that. But if it gets too hard, you should be able to control that. That’s also part of being a professional. That’s what I think.”

What made this moment even more impressive is how J-Hope delivered his advice to Jungkook. The BTS rapper used a mellow tone to get his message across. The golden maknae was also very attentive as his Hobi hyung gave him a piece of his mind. He clearly respects the older members and takes their advice seriously.

To end the moment, J-Hope returned to his “sunshine” self and gave Jungkook a high five, making the younger one smile brightly despite the tears welling up in his eyes.
