Leaving his comfort as a member of the royal family to have a simpler life in the United States may not be an easy feat for Prince Harry. Julie Montagu, an American who married a blue-blooded Brit, revealed Meghan Markle might have Americanized her husband now that they have a new life in the U.S.
As an American whose life has changed after she married Luka Montagu, Viscount Hinchingbrooke, in 2005, she seems to know Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's situation. As they decided to step back as senior royals and move to a different country, things might have dramatically changed for the two, especially for the Duke of Sussex.
"I think that Meghan has slightly Americanized Harry. I love it," she told People. The American blogger strongly believes the Duchess of Sussex has influenced her husband greatly.
Despite the new surroundings, the sixth in line to the throne might find the American perspective useful. Julie Montagu revealed that whenever he would meet an American, he could learn their life story in just 24 hours. "We're very emotionally open, which I think for Harry is actually a really good thing," she also told Town & Country.
Hence, Prince Harry will have the chance to talk about his feelings more than what he can discuss about it in Britain. The yoga instructor also defended their decision to move to Los Angeles and leave Canada.
She said any country is more private than being a member of the royal family in the United Kingdom. Now that the dust has settled and they have dropped their royal titles, they are ready to have a more normal life.
As the pair both love privacy, they may do everything to keep their house very private as far as taking photos is concerned. Although many believe that Prince Harry may miss his royal life, Julie Montagu thinks that although he may miss some parts of it, he wants to escape the most of it.
Meanwhile, the Ladies of London star's husband is the son of the 11th Earl of Sandwich. She has previously expressed empathy for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after she somehow could relate to the former actress.
Just like the Suits star, she is an American who gets accustomed to the royal life upon marriage to a viscount. As a mother herself, Julie Montagu understands Meghan Markle for wanting to be closer to her mom, Doria Ragland, in L.A.
