A lot of fans, and even critics, are intrigued by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's £15 million mansion in Los Angeles, owned by the American actor Tyler Perry. After the couple recently had privacy screens installed around the house, here are what this lavish home features.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved to L.A. from Canada after they officially stepped down as senior royals in March. Although it remains to be seen if they will permanently live in the 50-year-old actor's home or if it is only temporary, it cannot be denied that it fits the royals like them.
In a video that the comedian shared in 2016, according to Hello! Magazine, it showed his home had high ceilings, two enormous leather sofas, and coordinating side lamps. It also featured wooden floorings accentuated with patterned rugs, large marble plinths, arches that led to different parts of the house, and a corridor built with alcove ceiling.
In the living room, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor could start playing the big black grand piano. True to the royal's tastes, the house also had large chandeliers in both living and dining rooms.
In the kitchen, Meghan Markle could prepare Prince Harry and Archie's favorite food with its top-of-the-line Wolf oven. It also featured a classic marble island in the middle of the room.
In the room where the Sussexes held their video conference with the Crisis Text Line team, they gave a glimpse to oak wall panels and two huge lampshades behind them. In the video Tyler Perry made in 2014, it also showed that it had a matching oak desk with a glass top, a maroon leather desk chair, and a traditional fireplace.
The house also had a stunning view of the Franklin Canyon Park from its massive outdoor terrace. However, as the hiking trails were reopened, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had their home installed with privacy screens.
Recently, workers were erecting black privacy screens around Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's L.A. home. News.com.au reported that the reopening of the public hiking trails near the Beverly Ridge compound incited them to build it, as the locals and photographers could take a look down to their area.
Roving photographers already captured some of their photos since they moved to their borrowed home. It is not yet known if they are paying for a house rent or staying as Tyler Perry's guests.
To recall, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle revealed their plans when they stepped back from their royal roles, they said they wanted to value their privacy as individuals and a family. However, it remains to be a big question for some as to why they decided to move to L.A., which is the capital of the paparazzi culture.
