Ivanka Trump recently spoke about the issue concerning that her father, Donald Trump, does not wear masks despite going out for public engagements. This reportedly comes after two White House aides have tested positive for the novel coronavirus causing most of the employees and staff to "telework" from home.

Speaking to USA Today , the First Daughter stated that she "always" wears a mask, especially when she is with the US President. She then noted that everyone is "instructed" to do the same thing.

Ivanka Trump also explained that there are various "procedures" given to everyone inside the White House when it comes to their interaction with Donald Trump. She then revealed that "no one" comes close to the American leader "that isn't wearing a mask."

She went on to share that her father is "tested" every single day. Aside from the US President, everyone who comes "into contact" is also tested, Ivanka added.

The publication then asserted that these are some of the reasons why Donald Trump always goes maskless. The President "doesn't have to" since everyone in his circle is already wearing masks.

Amid the pandemic crisis in the United States, Ivanka Trump's father has faced various kinds of criticisms and objections from the public. One of the most apparent controversies that the Trump administration has faced recently is the President's objections to wearing masks.

But, despite the backlash, the First Daughter said that she has "confidence" that the US President and Vice President are well-protected, thanks to the White House guidelines. She also reportedly attested that she "feels safe" working in the office given that everyone is following the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions' guidelines and advice.

The East Wing's Chief of Staff, Stephanie Grisham reportedly shared a similar tone about the staff's compliance with the guidelines. She said that everyone, especially under Melania Trump's office, gets "tested" even they all "strictly adhere" to CDC's social distancing guidelines, according to People.

However, the publication said that some White House employees do not share the same sentiment as what Ivanka Trump asserts before the public. As stated, employees are scared to go to work as the office spaces are "small" and "crowded." It is much "safer" to work from home, the employee added.

Another White House staff, Kevin Hassett, who is one of Trump's top advisers, reportedly said that he would be "a lot safer" if he was at home than he would be if he was at the West Wing.
