Fear the Walking Dead season 6 is officially happening on AMC even though there's still uncertainty when it comes to its premiere date. The series will eventually arrive on the network but viewers may need to wait for a while due to the global health crisis.
Despite the potential delay, a lot of stories -- possibly new twists -- are coming in Fear the Walking Dead season 6. Speaking to Digital Spy, Lennie James, who plays Morgan, discussed what lies ahead in the upcoming installment and teased what could happen next to the characters.
While James said he couldn't say much about Fear the Walking Dead season 6 since it would come out as a spoiler, he hinted that whatever happens don't go the way everybody thinks it might go. He further shared the episodes would be in slightly different shade and color.
James said there's a possibility the new installment will cover longer and shorter periods of time. What makes this next season different is that the storytelling would not be linear as it has been in the past. He also hinted that it would be a big season from Morgan.
The fate of James' character is still in question as season 5 ended with Morgan being shot by Ginny. It's apparent that his life is in jeopardy and it remains unclear how he's going to escape the situation. This is a huge cliffhanger that needed to be addressed once the new installment arrives.
In the promo of Fear the Walking Dead season 6, it's clear that Morgan's life is on the line. He did whatever he can just to help and save other people, but who will help him now that he's in danger? Perhaps, someone may come and try to rescue him.
But if ever no one will help him, Morgan may find a way to save himself. There's a huge chance he could get through this situation in the end. After all, AMC may want to keep a sense of familiarity in the series. Additionally, James' interview has hinted his character will eventually be fine.
As for other stuff coming in Fear the Walking Dead season 6, there are other interesting stories worth-exploring. For instance, Virginia is likely an essential character as the series progresses. She's able to control what's happening and she has a vision of what's right for the world.
