The alleged feud between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle is once again put in the spotlight. After a new cover story about the Duchess of Cambridge revealed that they fought over the use of tights, Kensington Palace quickly denied the allegation.

Tatler magazine claimed that the palace knew the cover story it was writing about Kate Middleton. As it seemed to deny the truth about it, royal expert Richard Kay revealed what really happened.

In her article in Daily Mail, the royal commentator revealed that the story made about the two duchesses did not only touch on the sensitive issue about their alleged rift. It also raised questions about the "thinness" of Prince William's wife and her "Middleton family background."

The royals rarely respond to this kind of issue, however provocative it is. But, it seemed like Kensington Palace could not help itself to react over the claim and released a statement publicly.

According to Kay, this move was made to prevent making malicious allegations about Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's alleged rift repeatedly. However, it also seemed to highlight the palace's distress over "an unfair examination" of the royals' lives and motives.

Many might believe the claim that Prince William and Prince Harry's wives fight over the use of tights on the Sussexes' royal wedding in 2018. However, they have been long denying this, although they also admit that the relationship between the two women is not easy.

They also denied the claim that Kate Middleton put Meghan Markle in her place, "reprimanding her for speaking imperiously" to her staff. Insiders revealed that this issue is "not quite right" at all.

After Kensington Palace issued an official statement, Tatler made a response. People noted that the publication's editor-in-chief Richard Dennen stood by the claim of its writer, Anna Pasternak, and her sources.

It also insisted that the palace knew they were running the Catherine the Great story months ago. It even asked them to work together on it. Hence, Tatler said that the denial about not knowing the story was "categorically false."

Prince William and Kate Middleton did not precisely point out which part of the story was not true. But, a royal source revealed that there was no truth to the claim that the Duchess of Cambridge felt overwhelmed by the heavier workload that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left after they stepped down from their royal duties.
